Portuguese EPC firm Martifer Solar has completed two solar power plants in Spain which together provide an additional 4.26MW to the country’s PV capacity.
One PV system has been installed in Lorca, Murcia, on a 4.5 hectare site. Owned by unnamed third party investors, the 3.8MWp project is equipped with around 15,800 modules mounted on MPrime solar trackers which will help to generate an estimated 7.15GWh of electricity every year.
The second PV array has been installed on the rooftop of Prilux Group’s facility in Toledo. The 460kWp system consists of around 1,800 modules installed in fixed structures on an area of 7,500 square metres. The array is expected to generate 640MWh of electricity every year.
Martifer Solar provided all EPC services for both projects and will be in charge of operating and maintaining the facilities.
"These projects reflect the excellent work that Martifer Solar always carried out in Spain, the country where we have already installed 60 MW. Although this is a mature market, which has been facing many changes in the sector regulation, we still deserve the trust of our customers and partners, being known for our experience and quality, in every business segment", says Jesus Pacheco, Martifer Solar’s COO for Spain.
